Wednesday night, November 5, 2014, saw the launch of our networking events for the New Hampshire Innovation Economy and the first night was spectacular!
[box type=”note” style=”rounded”]NH Innovation Nights is a periodic night of networking and innovative presentations highlighting launching products from the Granite State. Here is the short rundown on the events and how to submit your product for future events. We were told that there are already enough networking events for entrepreneurs. We were told that people are burned out hearing pitches. We were even told that only 20 or 30 of the “usuals” would show up. I am happy to report that “they” were wrong on all accounts. We’re still counting but estimates put attendance at close to 100. Mark Kaplan, CEO of our host Alpha Loft, told me that a high percentage of attendees were new faces.
And Governor Maggie Hassan stopped by. Newly reelected the night before, I am sure she was running on fumes, but she spent a half hour meeting with all of our “launchers” and listening to their stories. Here is her short remarks about supporting innovation in New Hampshire.
